Nationally, 53% of Democrats, 55% of independents, and 43% of Republicans oppose sending weapons and supplies to Israel, according to a CNN/YouGov poll. In terms of sympathies for the plight of those living in the region, 65% of poll respondents expressed sympathy for Palestinian people and 84% expressed sympathy for the people of Israel.
