CEO & Co Founder

S. Mitra Kalita is CEO of URL Media, a veteran journalist, media executive, prolific commentator and author of two books. She is also the Publisher of Epicenter-NYC, a newsletter to help New Yorkers get through the pandemic. All searches are led by Mitra, well regarded for spotting and grooming talent. For decades, search firms have been seeking her counsel to diversify their own pipelines.


Leonor Ayala

Chief of Recruitment and Business Development

Leonor Ayala Polley leads URL’s recruitment and talent development. Before joining URL Media, Leonor worked at NBC News in New York for 18 years. Most recently she led NBC News network’s diversity and inclusion programs. In this role, she developed the curriculum design and implementation for the NBC News Group’s internal and external DEI-centered newsroom training programs working with the HR, talent development, and recruitment teams.


Sonali Kohli

Senior Recruiter

Sonali Kohli is a Senior Recruiter at URL Media, where she works with newsrooms and media-adjacent organizations that want to find fantastic candidates and treat them well. She has worked at newspapers, digital startups, and online news organizations as a reporter, editor, and mentor to new talent.


Ron Hinton

Recruiter

Ron Hinton is a Senior Recruiter with a decade of experience leading recruiting processes. He has previously served as a HR/Recruiting consultant to Scalawag Magazine and was a Lead Technical Recruiter for Amazon & Meta. He has also worked within agency recruiting at TEKSystems as a Technical Recruiter as well as HR4HR. Prioritizing people’s experience and working backwards; Ron champions driving successful delivery at no compromise to operational excellence.
