Donald John Trump and James David “JD” Vance were sworn in as President and Vice President of the United States of America today, Monday, Jan. 20, 2025. At 78, Trump was inaugurated as both the oldest person to be sworn in as President and just the second President to serve two nonconsecutive terms. Vance, 40, is one of the nation’s youngest Vice Presidents.
Today is also the national holiday in remembrance of civil rights hero Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., and events and ceremonies will honor him today throughout the nation.
