Black undocumented immigrants are erased from immigration narratives and the larger American story

There are currently more than 619,000 Black undocumented people in the U.S. The undocuBlack population is about the size of Las Vegas, yet almost no one talks about them. The 2012 DACA executive order issued under President Obama provided those who arrived as young people in the U.S. access to limited-term documentation and renewable employment authorization.
