Audience Manager

Location: Remote; anywhere in the U.S.


Social Audience Growth:

  • Design and implement social media strategy to align with business goals
  • Increase followers and engagement across all platforms by executing the following: generate, edit, publish and share engaging original content and content from our partners daily
  • Communicate with followers, respond to queries in a timely manner and monitor comments
  • Oversee social media accounts’ design (e.g. Facebook timeline cover, profile pictures, and Instagram layout).
  • Share and amplify partner network content across all platforms
  • Stay up-to-date with current technology trends in social media, design tools and applications
  • Perform and research on current benchmark trends and audience preferences

Content Development & Amplification:

  • Strategize and contribute to weekly newsletter including but not limited to curating, writing and publishing weekly URL Media newsletter
  • Generate content for live events and breaking news on an as need basis, including live tweeting
  • Monitor and manager the back end of Apple News and pitch content for publishing to different sections of the platform.
  • Pitch URL Media partner content daily to Apple News

Brand Development:

  • Producing and managing live & pre-recorded events as directed
  • Collaborate with other internal teams and URL Media partners to ensure brand consistency and alignment
  • Generate performance reports and competitive analyses to inform editorial social strategy
Examples of Expectations/Day to Day:
  • Contribute to content and design weekly URL newsletter
  • Daily curation of URL Twitter, Facebook and Instagram accounts
  • Live tweeting (or other coverage) of URL events, livestreams and our monthly PBS roundtable
  • Curation of multiplatform content and ideas around how to best promote content
  • Coordinate content promotion with partners and their social media managers
  • Innovating and assessing what platforms (Apple News, Clubhouse, Tik Tok, Whatsapp) we should be on

About You:

  • Creature of the internet; you know what’s happening before everyone else, and have a knack for spotting trends on social media, and utilizes this information to activate social media campaigns in a timely manner
  • At least 3 years working in marketing, social media or digital roles.
  • Strong editorial skills including sharp, concise writing, and delivering arresting impeccable copy
  • Expertise in identifying opportunities; developing strategies; and closing deals.
  • Proficiency in social platforms, partnership management, marketing technology platforms, specifically digital analytics, experimentation
  • Strong analytical experience using Google Analytics, Google Search Console, Facebook Insights, ChartBeat, Sprout, and other analytics tools
  • Ability to lead conversations around the state of digital media and audience trends
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Keen interest in media
